I'm Writing and Hitting Publish Every Day this Month

I know at least two things about myself:
· I’m better when I’m busy
· I’m better when I have structure
My guess is there are a lot of us out there who could use some motivation, foundation (it’s also possible Beyoncé’s “Break my Soul” is slowly taking over my brain).
It can be hard to self-motivate, to stay consistent, even when you want something so badly. We all fall off the wagon. It’s that we get back on that wagon that’s key.
Here are my challenges
I love the first of the month starts, they feel fresh, they feel motivating, and they feel possible.
Whatever your ‘it’ is start today, 1st of July. I have two on my list for July.
I’ve done them both for a month, and successfully, but not simultaneously. Ah, the challenge!
Writing my two down, putting them here for someone, anyone to read, that is what will hold me accountable and will help motivate me into action:
· Write and hit publish every day
· Move my ass for at least 30 minutes every day
Here’s how I’ll feel
Writing and moving always make me feel better, always. When I write and when I move, I feel stronger, more confident, more in-tune, more alive.
Life and all her distractions have a way of knocking me off that wagon, but if I can’t take an hour for myself every day there’s something seriously wrong with my life’s game-plan.
I know that July will have its moments but I’m excited. I know what you’re thinking: it’s day one and a Saturday but hear me out. If I want what I say I want — to write and to be healthy — then I have to build a foundation. There’s no way around it, I have to do the work.
The time is now
If you’re still not convinced today is the day, think about this. We’ve only got six months until it’s another year. Seriously. I want to make the most of it.
So, ✔ writing is done.
Turn up the music, it’s time to move! Who’s with me?
